Scholarships

  • Admissions Scholarship ^

To honor exceptional candidates with remarkable potential, this merit-based scholarship is determined after an admission interview. A one-off award covering up to half of MSc Program tuition fees supports academic achievement and future success.

 

  • Academic Achievement Scholarship ^

Awarded to exceptional students who consistently excel in academics and professional growth, this scholarship highlights their dedication and accomplishments. A one-off grant covering up to half of MSc Program tuition fees supports their continued success. 

 

  • Dean’s MSc Admissions Scholarship ^

To honor exceptional HKUST undergraduates and final-year students with outstanding academic performance, a one-off HK$100,000 scholarship will be awarded to eligible MSc candidates, showcasing HKUST's dedication to fostering talent and excellence. 

 

  • EmpowerHK Talent Admission Scholarship ^

Supporting local talents with exceptional academic performance, this scholarship drives development by awarding a one-off grant covering up to half of the tuition fees for MSc Programs at SBM. 

 

  • Hong Kong Future Talents Scholarship Scheme for Advanced Studies

The University Grants Committee (UGC) has awarded the HKUST MScFOFB Program as one of the eligible programs in the Future Talents Scholarship Scheme for the 2026/27 academic year. All local Hong Kong residents pursuing either full-time or part-time study in MScFOFB may apply for the scheme. Successful candidates will be awarded with a HK$100,000 tuition waiver.

Designed for outstanding candidates from our Partner Schools in full-time study mode, this scholarship recognizes academic excellence and diverse experiences with a one-off award covering up to half of MSc Program tuition fees.

 

  • MSc Diversity Excellence Scholarship ^

To recognize outstanding international applicants, this scholarship fosters cultural exchange and diversity within MSc Programs. A one-off award covering up to half of tuition fees supports global perspectives and inclusion.

 

  • The Belt and Road Admission Scholarship ^

Recognizing exceptional applicants from the Belt and Road countries, this scholarship celebrates talent and achievement with a one-off award covering up to half of MSc Program tuition fees. 

 

^ Eligible applicants admitted to the MScFOFB Program will be further evaluated for the scholarships based on a rigorous and holistic approach. Successful applicants will be notified by the MScFOFB Program Office of the scholarship award. No separate application is required.

 

Financial Aid

Extended Non-means-tested Loan Scheme (ENLS)

The Extended Non-means-tested Loan Scheme (ENLS) is offered by the Hong Kong Government, which provides financial assistance in the form of loan(s) to eligible students to settle tuition fees of specific post-secondary / continuing and professional education courses studied in Hong Kong.

Students who have the right of abode in the Hong Kong or have resided or have had their homes in Hong Kong continuously for three complete years immediately prior to the commencement of the programme / course are eligible to apply for an ENLS loan to cover their tuition fees. The maximum amount of loan is the total tuition fee(s) payable in particular academic year.
